🏆 Who Will Win the Stanley Cup? Four Teams, One Dream
The 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs have reached their most exciting stage. Only four teams remain in the race for hockey’s ultimate prize: the Carolina Hurricanes, Montreal Canadiens, Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights.
Each team has followed a different path to the conference finals, but all four have proven they belong among the NHL elite.
Carolina Hurricanes – The Team to Beat?
No team has looked more complete than Carolina. The Hurricanes stormed through the first two rounds, becoming the first NHL team since the legendary 1985 Oilers to win their first eight playoff games. Their success has been built on depth, structure and outstanding team hockey rather than one superstar carrying the roster.
Players such as Frederik Andersen, Taylor Hall, Logan Stankoven and Jackson Blake have all played key roles in Carolina’s impressive playoff run.
Montreal Canadiens – The Cinderella Story
Few experts expected Montreal to reach this stage. Yet the Canadiens survived multiple tough series and continue to surprise opponents with speed, energy and fearless hockey. Their dramatic seven-game victory over Buffalo showed tremendous character and belief.
If there is one true underdog remaining, it is Montreal.
Colorado Avalanche – Experience Matters
Colorado entered the playoffs as the Presidents’ Trophy winner and one of the favorites to lift the Cup. Their roster combines elite talent, playoff experience and championship pedigree.
Led by stars such as Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, the Avalanche possess the offensive firepower to beat any team in the league.
Vegas Golden Knights – Quietly Dominant
Vegas may not generate the same headlines as Colorado or Carolina, but their playoff performance has been exceptional. After eliminating Anaheim, the Golden Knights jumped to a commanding lead in the Western Conference Final and have looked disciplined at both ends of the ice.
Their balance, defensive structure and playoff experience make them a serious Stanley Cup contender.
🏆 So Who Will Win?
At this moment, Carolina appears to be the most complete team remaining. Their consistency, defensive organization and ability to roll four effective lines have made them incredibly difficult to beat.
However, Colorado’s star power and Vegas’ playoff experience mean the race is far from over. Montreal remains the wild card capable of extending its dream run even further.
One thing is certain: the road to the Stanley Cup has never looked more open.
